Monrovia—The National Chairman of the Liberia First Movement, Mr. Leayee E. Togba, Jr., says some members of the Unity Party (UP) Alliance are positioning themselves for empowerment for 2026, following the submission of the draft national budget to the Legislature by President Boakai.
In a statement this week, Mr. Togba extended heartfelt gratitude to the budget team at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), expressing that the journey to formulate the 2026 budget was “incredible.”
“As we pause to reflect on our achievements, it’s truly inspiring to see how the Unity Party has been pivotal in forging new pathways of opportunity for so many within the UP Alliance,” Togba stated, adding that, “There’s a vibrant sense of hope in the air, as our various political parties unite around our ambitious vision for the future.”
He then called on members of the UP Alliance to continue to stand together, unwavering in their commitment and aspirations.
Togba further stated that he wholeheartedly believes that the draft Fiscal Year 2026 National Budget, which is valued at US$ 1.2 billion, is not just a financial framework but a catalyst for growth and transformative change.
The Acting PRO of the UP Alliance concluded with a candid call for togetherness, stating, “We are building a brighter tomorrow filled with promise and potential.”
