An Internationally aligned non governmental organization, the Women Federation of World Peace – Liberia Chapter has promised to build a modern school facility for kids and women in Duport Road Shara community,
Paynesville City.
Speaking recently in the community when the organization presented gift items to kids and women of Shara community, madam Cecelia Duo, president of the Women Federation for World Peace said the state – of – the – art learning center will accommodate kids in Nursery through Junior High.
Madam Duo said the school will also provide vocational training for dropped out of school women and empower them for a better future.
She noted that the facility will be free off tuition, and encouraged women of the community to organize themselves by grouping in order to benefit from the scheme.
Madam Duo said the children are the future of Liberia and as such, they must be given quality education that will positively impact the nation.
She also admonished women of the community to speak out against the ills of society, particularly in the fight against drug abuse.
The Women Federation For World Peace president said the organization was founded in 1994, and has since been involved with advocacy and educating women and kids in Liberia.
The gathering was part of the organization awareness of its activities in Liberia, and its plan to construct a modern school faculty for kids in the Shara community.
