Brussels, Belgium — The Government of the Republic of Liberia has dispatched a high-level delegation to Brussels for the Liberia–EU Business Forum scheduled for February 24–25, 2026. The delegation will be led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and include the Minister of Finance and Development Planning and the Chairman of the National Investment Commission.
The delegation comprises senior government officials, national stakeholders, and leading business executives, reflecting Liberia’s strong commitment to advancing economic diplomacy and strengthening trade and investment ties with the European Union and its private sector.
At the Forum, Liberia is presenting over €1.5 billion in bankable investment opportunities across priority sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, mining, and tourism.
These projects align with the Government’s development agenda, which focuses on sustainable economic transformation, private sector growth, and job creation.
The Liberia–EU Business Forum is the direct outcome of Minister Beysolow Nyanti’s official visit to Brussels on October 1, 2024, during which she formally announced Liberia’s intention to convene a high-level investment forum aimed at deepening commercial engagement with European partners. The upcoming event fulfills that commitment and represents a significant milestone in Liberia–EU economic relations.
As part of its long-term investment promotion strategy, the Government of Liberia has also announced that preparations are underway to host a subsequent investment forum in Liberia in early 2027. This initiative underscores the country’s sustained efforts to position itself as a competitive and reliable destination for international investment.
The event will include the following signing ceremonies:
A Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Belgium–Luxembourg–Africa–Caribbean–Pacific and the Liberian Chamber of Commerce.
An agreement between Global Logistics Services and APM Terminals to partner in developing Liberia’s first-ever Export Processing Facility.
