Monrovia – Former Montserrado County District 8 Representative Acarous Moses Gray has clarified that the land on which the Jallah Town Event Center was build on was secured during his tenure.
While the project was completed and implemented by the district’s current leadership, Gray emphasized that the foundation of the initiative began under his watch. He revealed that he personally negotiated and purchased the land to ensure the community had a dedicated space for public gatherings.
Gray made the revelation on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 on his appearance on the Prime Morning Drive, Prime FM 105.5.
Gray stated he purchased the land while serving as the district lawmaker estimating that the acquisition reportedly cost over US$ 12,000.
Though the center was built by his successor, the current District 8 Representative Prince A. Toles, Gray maintains that the project would not have been possible without his initial investment in the real estate.
Gray’s comments aim to “set the record straight” regarding the history of the facility, highlighting a rare instance of inter-administration project continuity in the district.
