Monrovia, Liberia: — The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has confirmed the arrest of former Action Agent Musa Kamara, who was apprehended just one day after his official termination from the agency.
Kamara was arrested on April 22, 2026, for impersonating an LDEA officer. His dismissal, alongside colleague Icarus Geeplay, occurred on April 21 following an internal investigation that uncovered serious violations of the agency’s code of conduct. Both individuals were disqualified from the ongoing vetting process and removed from their posts, effective immediately.
Legal Action and Agency Integrity
The LDEA has since notified the public that Kamara has been processed and sent to court to face prosecution under Liberian law. The entity, tasked with combating drug trafficking, maintains an uncompromising position against misconduct and actions that undermine institutional integrity.
“The LDEA remains firm and unbending against any act that compromises our mission. We are committed to transparency and the rule of law,” an agency statement noted.
Public Advisory
The LDEA officially warns the public that Musa Kamara and Icarus Geeplay no longer represent the agency. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities involving individuals claiming to be LDEA agents.
