Monrovia — The Liberia National Police (LNP) has confirmed that officers assigned at the Marshall Police Detachment in Margibi County have arrested a suspect in connection with an alleged assault incident captured in a video circulating on social media.
In a statement issued on May 7, police preliminary information indicates that the suspect, a 49-year-old Ghanaian national, allegedly assaulted Mr. Jeremiah Saye, a 23-year-old Liberian citizen. The matter came to the attention of the police following the circulation of the video online, prompting immediate police intervention and the launch of an investigation.
Statements are currently being obtained from both the alleged victim and the suspect as part of ongoing investigative proceedings.
