Monrovia, Liberia – The Ducor Institute of Vocational and Technical Development has successfully graduated its first cohort of 162 students out of 252 enrolled across various vocational and technical disciplines, marking a major milestone in its mission to advance skills development, youth empowerment, and workforce readiness.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026 and highlighted the Institute’s commitment to equipping young people with practical, market-driven skills that promote employability, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community development.
Foboi also launch the Ejartu Bah Entrepreneurship Fund (EBEF), a new initiative designed to support graduate-led enterprise development. The fund will provide a minimum of LD$100,000.00 in seed capital to assist two outstanding alumni in establishing and sustaining their own businesses.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ducor Institute, A. Mohammed A. Foboi, stated:
“This graduation is not only a celebration of academic achievement, but a declaration of purpose. Our graduates are not just job seekers—they are future employers, innovators, and nation builders. Through initiatives like the Ejartu Bah Entrepreneurship Fund, we are investing directly into their potential to transform their communities and contribute to national development.”
The Institute extended appreciation to its Board of Administration, faculty, instructors, staff, media team, students, and the residents of Clara Town, Monrovia for their unwavering support throughout the academic year.
Graduates were urged to apply their skills to create employment opportunities, build enterprises, and contribute meaningfully to national development. The Institute reaffirmed that vocational and technical education remains a vital tool in reducing unemployment and promoting inclusive economic growth.
Registration for the next academic cohort is currently ongoing, with classes scheduled to commence on July 1, 2026. New programs will include Electricity, Event Decoration, Satellite and CCTV Installation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, and Organizational and Ethical Leadership.
