Monrovia — The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), through its Human Resources Management Division’s Training & Capacity Development Unit, has launched a four-week induction training program for newly recruited contract staff as part of its commitment to building a highly skilled and professional workforce. The program runs from July 28 to August 21, 2026.
Designed to prepare new employees for effective service, the induction program provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Authority’s operations, institutional values, and their role in supporting domestic revenue mobilization. The curriculum covers key areas, including human resources management, domestic tax operations, performance management, workplace ethics, tax audit procedures, enterprise risk management, taxpayer services, financial investigations, national revenue accounting, and tax compliance.
The program combines classroom instruction, practical exercises, group discussions, and daily reflection sessions, all led by experienced LRA professionals, to strengthen both technical knowledge and professional competence.
According to Mr. Simpson Klay, Manager for Training and Manpower Development, the induction program reflects the Authority’s commitment to developing a competent workforce capable of advancing revenue mobilization for national development. He said the training ensures that new employees begin their careers with a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the LRA’s core values.
By investing in the development of its workforce, the LRA continues to strengthen institutional capacity and foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and excellence in delivering efficient, transparent, and accountable revenue administration.
