Monrovia – The newly inducted Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitzgerald T. M. Biago has told drugs and substance abuse users in Fiamah, Sinkor to seek rehabilitation from the government funded initiative at the SKD in Paynesville in order to become useful citizens of Liberia.
Speaking during a raiding exercise today in Fiamah Community, DCP Biago said once ghettos are raided, the LDEA will have stationed officers at the site to discourage resurgence of similar activity in the same area, a method he referred to as “raid and seize”.

DCP Biago said, “You are making these people rich while you remain poor. You can make a change and be better. Everybody has their God’s given talent”, he said to victims of drugs and substance abuse.
“We will get rid of the ghettos; you will not go there. Once we do that, the next thing is that dealers will tell you buy and go.”
He told the young victims that once that happened, they will not have any choice because they will no longer have a place to sit to smoke and then the next target will be the dealers.
The LDEA OIC promised a tougher stance with different approach to fighting drugs in Liberia, vowing, “We will raid and seize the place”.
