LONDON, UK – Education Minister Jarso M. Jallah has called for a more urgent approach in integrating climate-smart interventions across the education and health sectors to support environmental sustainability and human development.Serving as one of the panelists at the 2025 Education World Forum held in London, UK, from May 18–21, 2025, Minister Jallah presented Liberia’s Arrest Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) as a national framework for integrating climate-smart interventions across the education and health sectors to support environmental sustainability and human development.The Liberian Education Minister professed Strategies, Policy, and Action for the Development of Green Skills in Global Education and Sustainable Development.Minister Jallah emphasized the urgency of embedding green skills into education systems through transformative policies aligned with national development goals. She further highlighted Liberia’s curriculum reform efforts to incorporate green skills, promote competency-based foundational learning, enhance teacher training, and expand digital access—particularly for rural and underserved communities. She also showcased the Home-Grown School Feeding Program, linking school gardens and agriculture partnerships to improve nutrition, learning outcomes, and local livelihoods.According to the Ministry of Education, beyond her panel contributions, Minister Jallah held strategic bilateral and multilateral meetings to advance Liberia’s education transformation agenda. Key engagements included emphasis on Future Learning Institute – for digital transformation of Liberia’s Teacher Training Institutes; NewGlobe – to scale early-grade literacy and numeracy through data-driven solutions.Others discussions included engagement with People’s Republic of China – to deepen cooperation in STEM, digital infrastructure, and academic exchange; interaction with the Romanian Delegation – to explore education, innovation, and trade opportunities as well as fruitful discussion with Ministry of Education of Sierra Leone – to strengthen regional collaboration and knowledge exchange.Outcomes of these engagements include plans to launch a national digital transformation partnership with the Future Learning Institute and to develop a comprehensive technical cooperation proposal aligned with Liberia’s education priorities and global standards.The Ministry of Education said it commanded Minister Jallah for her visionary leadership, global advocacy, and unwavering dedication to building a resilient, inclusive, and high-quality education system in Liberia. Minister Jallah’s impactful representation at the 2025 Education World Forum has elevated Liberia’s profile on the global stage and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to educational equity and excellence for all—without prejudice.
