Monrovia – Following the devastating fire outbreak at the 9th Street residence of former Liberian leader George Manneh Weah, famous humanitarian and founder of the Nimene-Tweh Foundation, Dr. Thomas Nimene Tweh, Jr. has sent a heartfelt counseling message to the former President.
Dr. Tweh, famously known as Original Country Man in a statement said the incident at the former President home was “regrettable” and called for collective prayers for the former President and his family.
Dr. Nimene-Tweh: “We extend our deepest empathy to the immediate former President, Dr. George M. Weah, on the regrettable fire incident that affected his residence. We give thanks to Almighty God for His divine protection, ensuring that no life was lost in the process.
This moment calls for unity, empathy, and collective prayers for the former President and his family. We strongly caution against politicizing this unfortunate occurrence. Such incidents transcend politics and should instead remind us of the fragility of life and the importance of solidarity as a people.
We stand in support of the former President during this period and pray for the swift restoration of what has been lost,” Tweh wrote on his official Facebook handle.
Reports of a fire outbreak flooded social media pages across Liberia late last night.
According to reports, the fire outbreak started in the bedroom of former President George Manneh Weah but was swiftly managed by fire fighters who arrived in time to avoid the incident escalating to other areas of the residence.
