MONROVIA, LIBERIA – In a formal communication issued Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the Liberia First Movement (LFM) officially extended its congratulations to the National Elections Commission (NEC) and the Government of Liberia for the ongoing large-scale renovation of the commission’s headquarters.
Leayee E. Togba Jr., National Chairperson of the LFM, addressed the commendation to NEC Chairperson Madam Davidetta Browne Lassanah. The LFM described the facelift of the “National Political Parties state House” as a “brilliant decision” that serves both aesthetic and economic purposes.
The LFM noted that the proactive upgrades would likely save the government significant costs on future emergency repairs.
The movement emphasized that a modernized facility adds institutional value to Liberia’s democratic infrastructure.
The LFM National Executive Committee went on to pledge its full moral support toward the completion of the project.
In his closing remarks, Chairman Togba Jr. expressed the movement’s desire for continued reform and the implementation of international best practices at the NEC.
The congratulatory message, which was circulated to the NEC Board of Commissioners, the Political Affairs Director, and all registered political parties, signals a rare moment of cross-party appreciation for infrastructure development within the nation’s electoral body.
