Harper City, Maryland County – A desperate plea for medical assistance has been launched on behalf of Ms. Beatrice Walloh, a citizen of Garraway Beach, Grand Kru County, who is currently battling for her life at the JJ Dossen Hospital in Harper City, Maryland County.
Doctors have diagnosed Ms. Walloh with a severe liver disease (Hepatitis) — a condition that has left her weak, in constant pain, and in urgent need of sustained medical treatment. Unfortunately, the lack of financial support has made it increasingly difficult for her family to provide the care she desperately requires.
According to family members, Beatrice was once an active and industrious woman in Garraway Beach, where she supported herself and others through small-scale trade. Her life changed dramatically when she began to experience persistent fatigue, loss of appetite, and abdominal pain.
Initial medical consultations revealed signs of liver damage, later confirmed to be Hepatitis, a potentially life-threatening disease. With limited healthcare services in Garraway, her family decided to move her to Harper City in search of better medical attention.
“The situation became unbearable,” said a family relative. “We had to transport her to Harper with the hope that the doctors at JJ Dossen Hospital could help, but we are running out of resources.”
Upon admission to JJ Dossen Hospital, doctors began administering medication to manage her condition. However, her treatment plan requires regular diagnostic tests, special medication, and constant monitoring — all of which are costly.
The family says they have spent all they had on transportation, food, and hospital fees. As her condition worsens, Beatrice’s relatives are left with no other option but to appeal to the public for help.
Family is calling on humanitarian organizations, government officials, and leaders of Grand Kru County to intervene and help save her life. They have also extended the appeal to Liberians at home and abroad, urging them to stand in solidarity with one of their own.
“This is a life-threatening condition,” a family spokesperson Eleazar Wolloh stated. “We are appealing to our lawmakers, the County Administration, humanitarians, and every kind-hearted Liberian to assist Ms. Walloh. We cannot do it alone.”
To facilitate donations, the family has provided two Mobile Money numbers for contributions:

They are also urging the public to keep Ms. Walloh in their prayers as she continues to fight for her life.
Despite her condition, Beatrice continues to cling to hope. From her hospital bed, her voice remains soft but firm as she expresses faith that help will come.
“I believe God will touch the hearts of people to help me,” she said. “I just want to live and recover my strength again.”
As the days go by, Ms. Beatrice Walloh’s condition remains fragile. Her family continues to hope that support will arrive before it is too late.
“We are pleading with every humanitarian group, government official, and the leadership of Grand Kru County to stand with us,” her brother said tearfully. “Our sister’s life is in danger. Please help us save her.”
