Monrovia – Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Joseph K. Vallai has highlighted the importance of global engagement following a recent visit to the United States Capitol Hill, where he met with the leadership of the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL).
In a post today on his official Facebook page, Mr. Vallai described his meeting with COIL’s Executive Director and leadership team as a “brief courtesy visit to some of my very dear friends.”
Mr. Vallai praised the work of the Congressional Office for International Leadership, stating, “Their work in fostering dialogue and building global partnerships is truly impactful.” COIL is known for administering the Open World Program, a professional exchange dedicated to strengthening mutual understanding between emerging global leaders and their US counterparts.
The Deputy Press Secretary expressed gratitude for the insights gained during the discussion. “I’m grateful for the thoughtful insights shared during our discussions and for the support that made this meeting possible,” he noted, adding his appreciation to those who joined the meeting and to his brother for providing a tour and guidance through the United States Capitol’s historical sites.
Mr. Vallai concluded his statement by expressing optimism for the future of the relationship.
“I look forward to continuing this important relationship,” he stated, signaling the potential for ongoing cooperation and dialogue between the Liberian Executive Branch and the US Congressional body focused on international leadership and diplomacy.
