Monrovia — Mourad Bouaou, Director of Profolio Management Public Sector, of the OPEC Fund for International Development today, held a very productive discussions with Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan and Public Works Minister Roland Lafayette Giddings on the continuous financing of the Gbarnga – Mendikorma Highway.
OPEC Fund is amongst one of the original Arab Lenders funding the road project.
According to a statement, the discussions focused on the speed up implementation of the Salayea leg of the Gbarnga- Mendikorma Highway and mobilizing additional financing from OFID and other Arab lenders for the Salayea Konia – Konia – Voinjama leg of the highway.
The Voinjama Mendikorma leg of the highway is to be funded under the PAVITO agreement currently at the National Legislature for ratification.
