Monrovia – The Government of Liberia has ignited the fight against drugs by providing the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) a major logistical boost of 15 vehicles.
The vehicles, comprising (12) Toyota Hilux Pickups, (2)Toyota Land Cruiser and (1) Toyota Ford Tuner were today, September 29, 2025, delivered to the LDEA to Boost Anti-Drug Operations.
The donation is intended to enhance the LDEA’s nationwide operations in the ongoing fight against the proliferation of illicit drugs across the country.
Authorities say “the new fleet will strengthen mobility, improve response time, and expand the agency’s reach in communities most affected by the drug crisis.”
The fifteen vehicles cost the government of Liberia over 600,000 United States dollars according to sources in knowledge of the situation.
This move by the government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting law enforcement institutions in tackling drug-related crimes, an initiative that pro-government individuals described as a decisive step toward building a safer and drug-free Liberia.
