Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Clay Checkpoint Detachment in Bomi County has arrested, investigated, and forwarded to court a 45-year-old woman linked to a large quantity of Tramadol discovered concealed in several gallons of red oil.
According to the LDEA, officers on routine vehicle inspection uncovered the drugs hidden inside gallons containing red oil. The suspect, identified as Madam Emmon Gboyah, admitted during investigation that the gallons belonged to her.
Meanwhile, the LDEA detachment in Bomi County has intensified patrol operations in and around the county to prevent traffickers from smuggling dangerous substances into the area. The confiscated drugs are estimated to be worth more than nine hundred thousand Liberian dollars.
The LDEA Bomi County detachment is calling on citizens to continue providing credible information that will aid in the ongoing fight against illicit drugs in the country.
