Monrovia – The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and Rise Talent Accelerated, a local entrepreneurship, in a quest to ease job hurdles in the country have launched what they called LiberiaWorks, a platform intended to provide thousands of jobs to Liberians, particularly youth.
The platform was launched on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Oldest Congo Town.
Labour Minister Cooper W.Kruah said through LiberiaWorks, employers will access vetted, prepared and supported talent.
The Labour boss emphasized that government will gain labor intelligence and compliance data to inform policy.
” Universities will receive feedback from the job market to align training with reality,” Min. Kruah said.” Young Liberians will have verified, fair, and transparent opportunities to work ,learn and grow,” he stated.
He said LiberiaWorks is a job platform that for the first time in Liberia’s job history where all actors are linked together in one system.
Min. Kruah indicated that the launch of the LiberiaWorks follows a clear policy direction by the ministry to make workforce development a national priority.
He noted that with the new administrative regulations, employers across key sectors will be encouraged and supported to take junior associates and trainees helping them to build the next generation of Liberian professionals.
“LiberiaWorks will serve as the official national platform for managing a process that ensures fairness,accountability and results,” Min. Kruah stated.
The Labour Minister said in the next two years, the platform will connect thousands of young people to real employment opportunities through the National Junior Associates Program.
“By 2030, our ambition is for LiberiaWorks to become the backbone of workforce planning and human capital development in Liberia,” he stressed.
He thanked Rise Talent Accelerator for the partnership, and expressed optimism that the national program will yield real potential that will positively impact lives.
Also, Ambassador Ora Richards of the Ministry of State ( MOS) who launched the initiative commended Minister Kruah and team for the initiative and praised the ministry for championing a program that aligns seemingly with government broader agenda to promote employment .
“We commend the Ministry of Labour for championing job creation that aligns with government broader agenda to promote employment, skills development and economic growth,” Amb. Richards noted.
She said by equipping young people with relevant skills tailored to national development and connecting them to jobs, Liberia can reduce brain drain, curb migration and pilot sustainable development.

At the same time, Rise Talent Accelerated Director, Sei Pleiwon said LiberiaWorks represents a new approach, one that connects policy to practice and ambition to real outcomes
Mr. Pleiwon said Rise Talent Accelerated role has been to design and build a system that makes workforce management smarter, fairer, and more efficient.
He indicated that the system will help employers find the right candidates and enable young Liberians to gain the experience they need to thrive.
The program brought together members from the government and private sector, including partners in the labour sector of Liberia.
LiberiaWorks is a national workforce coordination system that brings together employers, government, universities and young people in one coordinated space.
