Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has officially inducted Special Agent Thomas T. Saye as the new Commander of its Bong County detachment. The induction ceremony took place early Saturday morning.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the LDEA, Ernest Tarpeh, expressed full confidence in Special Agent Saye’s leadership and urged him to remain proactive in the Agency’s ongoing battle against illicit drugs in the county. He assured that the LDEA administration will provide all necessary support to the Bong County detachment to ensure its success in safeguarding communities from the dangers of narcotics.
In his acceptance remarks, Special Agent Saye thanked the LDEA leadership for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work tirelessly in strengthening the fight against drug trafficking and abuse in the county.
Also speaking at the program, the General Police Commander of the Liberia National Police (LNP) in Bong County, ACP Fassu Sheriff, welcomed the new LDEA Commander and pledged close collaboration between the LNP and LDEA to make Bong County safer from the hands of drug traffickers and distributors.
