Monrovia — Fourteen staff of the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC-Liberia) are participating in an intensive CISCO Certification Training Program currently underway in Monrovia.
CISCO is a global standard in computer networking and cybersecurity training and equipment.
Implemented under the UNDP Liberia Electoral Support Project, the training is facilitated by Mr. Ashken Adili, a certified CISCO trainer.
The program focuses on Network Administration and Security, the development of an ICT and Digitalization Strategy for the NEC, and the creation of an ICT Operations Policy and Procedures Manual, among other critical areas.
Hosted at Stella Maris University, the exercise aims to strengthen the Commission’s technological capacity and shape its digital transformation agenda ahead of the 2029 General Elections.
According to NEC authorities, this initiative stems directly from recommendations of a comprehensive ICT assessment conducted at the Commission, reaffirming NEC’s commitment to innovation and modernization in electoral management.
