Monrovia, Liberia – Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan has announced a donation of 100 solar lights to the Carbadae Apoliebo Organization (CAPO) in support of its rural electrification program, which seeks to bring light to towns and villages in Carbadae, District #3, Sinoe County.
The Senator made the announcement on October 4, 2025, while serving as Guest Speaker at CAPO’s induction ceremony for its new leadership, held in Barnersville, District #11, Montserrado County.
CAPO had earlier written to Senator Duncan requesting support for their project, which aims to install 150 solar lights across underserved communities. Responding positively, the Senator pledged 100 units, estimated at over USD $12,000, to help advance the initiative.
In his keynote remarks, Senator Duncan commended CAPO for its dedication to community empowerment and stressed the value of grassroots-driven development in bridging the infrastructure gap. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting sustainable progress throughout Sinoe County.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sennay Carlor III, CAPO’s newly installed Chairperson, extended sincere appreciation to the Senator for his presence and generous contribution.
“This donation will illuminate communities that have endured darkness for too long,” Mr. Carlor said. “We are deeply thankful for the Senator’s support and leadership.”
The solar project is anticipated to enhance public safety, stimulate local economic activities, and improve the quality of life for residents in rural Carbadae.
This gesture forms part of Senator Duncan’s broader community development agenda, which also includes investments in education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure to uplift citizens across Sinoe County.
