Monrovia — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning through the office of the Comptroller and Accountant General (CAG) of Liberia has said, “all employees of the Government of Liberia salaries for the month of October are being processed for payment, but payment will last up to the 1st week in November.”
According to a release issued in Monrovia this week, this temporary delay is due to ongoing technical upgrades and maintenance work being carried out at the Ministry’s central data center.
“These system enhancements are part of the MFDP’s broader efforts to modernize its financial management systems and improve data security in salary processing and related financial transactions,” the MFDP stated.
The MFDP said it is aware that these delays may cause inconvenience and apologizes to all civil servants and government employees for the delay.
The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has maintained a strong record of largely being timely in the payment of government salaries and remains firmly committed to upholding this standard.
The Ministry furthered that it appreciates the patience and understanding of all government employees as these important improvements are being finalized.
