Executive Mansion, Monrovia – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., has extended his deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, and constituents of former two-term Representative Solomon George of Montserrado County District #7, following his passing on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Earlier today, President Boakai held a telephone conversation with the deceased’s first son, Mr. Christopher Solomon George, Jr., during which he conveyed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of himself and the Government of Liberia. The President assured the bereaved family of the Government’s full support throughout the funeral arrangements and all related activities as they prepare to lay their beloved father and distinguished public servant to rest.
President Boakai noted with profound sadness that the passing of former Representative George represents a significant loss to the people of District #7, Montserrado County, and to the Republic of Liberia as a whole. He described the late lawmaker as a fearless representative, a resolute voice in national discourse, and a committed advocate for democratic governance and the welfare of his constituents.
Reflecting on their past engagements, President Boakai recalled several memorable interactions with the late avid sports enthusiast during his tenure as Vice President of Liberia. The Liberian Leader emphasized that, despite political differences, their relationship was defined by mutual respect, constructive dialogue, candor, and a shared commitment to national progress—an enduring example of statesmanship that strengthened Liberia’s democratic culture.
President Boakai prayed that the Almighty God grants comfort to the bereaved family, strength to the people of District #7, and eternal peace to the soul of the departed.
