Barclay Training Center, Monrovia — The Ministry of National Defense on April 9, 2026 proudly announced that the Honorable Minister of National Defense, Brigadier General (Ret.) Geraldine Janet George, has been formally inducted into the International Hall of Fame of the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC).
According to a statement, Minister George’s induction is a milestone for both the Ministry and the nation. A 2013 graduate of the CGSC, she holds a unique place in Liberian military history having been the sixth Liberian ever to graduate from this esteemed institution.
She also remain the only female Liberian officer to have completed the program.
The Hall of Fame honor is reserved for international graduates who have attained the highest levels of military leadership. This induction recognizes Minister George for her exemplary Leadership and distinguished service within the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
Her commitment to international cooperation and the promotion of global peace and security with a career-long dedication to the highest standards of military professionalism can’t b overstated.

The Ministry noted that this honor does more than celebrate an individual career; it elevates the Republic of Liberia’s standing within the global military community and reinforces the enduring partnership between the AFL and international defense institutions.
