Capitol Hill, Liberia – Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah has retracted remarks he made about Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon during an appearance on SpoonTalk and issued a public apology.
In a statement released Tuesday, Fallah said he was informed of a communication submitted to the House of Representatives by Grand Gedeh County Electoral District #3 Representative Jacob Debee, requesting a retraction and investigation into comments attributed to him during the June 28, 2026, broadcast.
The Deputy Speaker said his remarks were made in good faith and without any intention to mislead, malign, or undermine Speaker Koon. He formally withdrew the comments and extended his sincere apology.
Fallah also emphasized that he and Speaker Koon share a longstanding personal relationship that predates their current positions in the House of Representatives. He said he deeply values that relationship and has no intention of jeopardizing the mutual respect and camaraderie they have built over the years.
