Capitol Hill, Monrovia: — The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Richard Nagbe Koon, has presented two sets of official flags to each member of the House as part of ongoing reform initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional identity and visibility.
Under the new protocol, lawmakers will now display their respective county flags on the right side of their official vehicles, while the House of Representatives flag will be mounted on the left side. This measure is intended to promote proper identification and reinforce the connection between lawmakers and their constituencies.
For the Speaker’s official vehicle, the Liberian national flag will be displayed on the right side, with the House of Representatives flag on the left, in keeping with national protocol and to ensure clear distinction of the office.
This initiative forms part of a broader reform agenda being implemented by the House leadership to enhance order, uniformity, and institutional pride within the Legislature.
The leadership of the House remains committed to advancing reforms that promote transparency, accountability, and effective representation.
