Greenville Sinoe County — In a bold demonstration of leadership and commitment to grassroots development, Sinoe County Superintendent Sleweon has officially launched the construction of the Johnstone Street Twin Culvert Bridge in Greenville, a major infrastructure project expected to transform transportation and improve public access for residents.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, marked another significant milestone in the Superintendent’s ongoing efforts to address critical infrastructure challenges and accelerate development across Sinoe County.
Under Sleweon’s leadership, the county administration continues to prioritize projects that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens, particularly in areas of road connectivity, accessibility, and urban improvement.
Speaking during the ceremony, Sleweon emphasized that local government officials have a responsibility to complement the national government’s development agenda by initiating practical and people-centered projects that bring meaningful change to communities.
He described the bridge project as more than just a construction initiative, noting that it represents progress, safety, and renewed hope for residents who have long struggled with poor road conditions and limited accessibility.
“This project is about improving lives and creating safer and easier movement for our people,” Hon. Sleweon declared, while calling on citizens to support the initiative and take ownership of the development process.
The Superintendent further challenged God’s Anointing Construction Incorporated (GACI), the company contracted to execute the project, to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ensure the timely completion of quality work that will serve residents for many years.
Representatives of GACI assured the county administration and citizens of their commitment to delivering durable and high-quality infrastructure in accordance with the project specifications.
Several officials and community leaders used the occasion to commend Hon. Sleweon for what they described as visionary and development-focused leadership.
County Development Planning Officer Mr. Justin Mentroe praised the Superintendent’s unwavering commitment to community-driven initiatives, assuring the public that the Planning Unit will work closely with the contractor to guarantee that the project meets all required standards.
Greenville City Mayor Mr. Harrison O. Kai also applauded Hon. Sleweon for spearheading ongoing efforts aimed at beautifying and modernizing Greenville City, while calling for stronger collaboration among local stakeholders.
Chairperson of the All Communities Leadership in Greenville, Mr. Sackor Tweh Sackor, described the bridge initiative as a timely intervention that demonstrates the Superintendent’s dedication to improving the living conditions of the people of Sinoe County.
County Administrator Mr. Myers K. Padma Sr. praised the level of coordination within the county administration and encouraged citizens to protect project materials and support the successful implementation of the bridge.
Meanwhile, County Administration Engineer Mr. Samson Chea stressed the importance of adhering to all technical standards to ensure the construction meets approved engineering requirements.
