Monrovia , Liberia: – Bong County District #6 Representative Moima Briggs-Mensah has voiced her support for the removal of Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah, citing a persistent pattern of “unbecoming” conduct and disrespect toward the House of Representatives.
In a strongly worded statement via her Facebook page, Briggs-Mensah expressed deep disappointment in Kolubah’s recent behavior, suggesting that his actions—and those of his legal team—have undermined the dignity of the legislature.
The Bong lawmaker dismissed the notion that Kolubah is unaware of the House Rules, asserting that every member is responsible for maintaining the standards of public office.
Despite acknowledging a personal bond—referring to Kolubah as her “husband and friend”—the Rep. Briggs-Mensah emphasized that her constitutional duty to the Republic takes precedence over personal sentiments.
She explicitly backed efforts to remove Kolubah, stating, “No one in public service is above the law, above scrutiny, or untouchable.”
Beyond the internal disciplinary issues, the vocal female lawmaker noted that unresolved questions regarding the Liberia–Guinea border situation will be thoroughly investigated, with recommendations for presidential action against any violators.
Briggs-Mensah concluded by urging her colleagues to prioritize transparency and accountability, noting that the Liberian people deserve leadership defined by humility and respect rather than dismissive conduct.
