Monrovia, Liberia: — In a strategic move to elevate Liberia’s creative industry on the international stage, the National Entertainment Ambassador, Korte D. Bazzie (popularly known as Kobazzie), paid a high-profile courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco today on April 16, 2026.
The meeting focused on deepening cultural diplomacy and opening new global avenues for Liberian artists, filmmakers, and content creators through South-South cooperation.
The discussions centered on several groundbreaking initiatives designed to give Liberian talent a global audience. Key among those include exploring a partnership with Royal Air Maroc to feature Liberian music, films, and creative content on their international in-flight entertainment systems while also expanding exchange programs for creatives to foster talent sharing between Liberia and Morocco.
Strengthening collaboration in the “Blue Economy”—leveraging Liberia’s coastal resources alongside creative industries to drive economic growth was another key area discussed during the meeting.
Strengthening the Ecosystem
Ambassador Kobazzie expressed his profound gratitude to the Moroccan Ambassador for the warm reception, noting the significant contribution of the Moroccan community to Liberia’s creative landscape.
“This engagement reflects Liberia’s growing commitment to cultural diplomacy,” the Liberian Entertainment Ambassador noted. “We are focused on creating global opportunities that will allow our creatives to thrive and deepen the ties between our two nations.”
The visit is seen as a major step forward in the government’s vision to use the arts as a pillar for national branding and economic development.
