MONROVIA – In a move signaling a clear push for the league title, World Girls Football Club officially unveiled 12 new players at a historic press conference on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in Monrovia, a mix of six international signings and six promising Liberian talents. The event highlighted the club’s ambitious vision for the upcoming season and its commitment to developing women’s football both on and off the field.
After a resilient season that saw them finish in sixth place and reach the Orange Cup final—securing an automatic spot in the upcoming Super Cup on October 5th in Nimba—the club is looking to build on its success.
“These milestones, coupled with the arrival of our twelve new signings, send a clear message: World Girls FC is an ambitious club, ready to compete at the highest level and challenge for the league title,” club President Mollyn Giselle Jarbo stated.
The new signings are central to the club’s identity, which is rooted in diversity, inclusiveness, and excellence.
The six foreign players signed are: Ahamadu Amina (Ghana), Zainab O. Salaudeen (Nigeria), Precious Godtime Daniel (Nigeria), Chinonye Nwoko Goodness (Nigeria), Abigail Amorh (Ghana) and Hannah Passay (Ghana).
Meanwhile, the players such as: Victoria Waltkins, Gloria P. Targbe, Danieline Toomey, Christine M. Kerkula and Rachel Yeah join from local clubs.
The international players are expected to bring global experience and fresh perspectives, while the local players will embody the passion and soul of Liberian football.
This blend of talent is meant to showcase the unity of athletes across borders and signal a brighter future for women’s football in the country.Beyond the pitch, World Girls FC is dedicated to empowering its athletes.

For her part, Coach Famata Dean expressed her excitement about the new acquisitions and welcome the club president, technical directors and players, who will bring fresh talent and energy to the team.
“We believe their skills and dedication will significantly contribute to our collective success this season. At our club, we are committed to fostering a culture of hard work, teamwork, and constant improvement,” Dean said
She propounded that all players are expected to embrace this philosophy, demonstrating a proactive attitude in both training and matches.
“Our goal is to work together, support each other, and achieve our objectives as a united front. We look forward to integrating our new members into the team and embarking on a challenging and rewarding season together,” Coach Dean concluded.
