Monrovia, Liberia: — Senior government officials today underscored Liberia’s commitment to expanding homeownership at the National Housing Authority (NHA) Off-Takers Conference 2026.
The event featured key participation from Hon. Erasmus T. Williams, Head of the Diaspora Office at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, and Hon. Jackie McCay, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Welfare.
During the conference, NHA Director General Hon. Florence Kataeka Geegbae delivered a comprehensive overview of the government’s strategic initiatives aimed at delivering affordable housing solutions. The newly introduced National Housing Plan outlines innovative mechanisms designed—for the first time—to make homeownership accessible to ordinary civil servants, while creating targeted investment opportunities for both local citizens and the Liberian Diaspora.
A major highlight of the event was a strategic engagement between Hon. Erasmus T. Williams and Mr. Mustapha Njie, CEO of TAF Africa. Mr. Njie outlined his organization’s ambitious plans to develop affordable housing tailored specifically for Liberians living abroad.

Furthermore, Mr. Njie confirmed that TAF Africa will participate in the upcoming 2026 Diaspora Annual Conference, scheduled for this September.
The conference served as a vital platform for the Diaspora community to gain insight into Liberia’s urban development trajectory.
Through the Office of Diaspora Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Liberia remains firmly committed to strengthening global partnerships with its citizens abroad to drive the nation’s development agenda.
