Monrovia, Liberia: — The Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority
(LSEZA) has successfully concluded the first day of its first-ever exclusive media training for reporters and journalists.
The landmark engagement, organized by the Communications Department of LSEZA, brought together 15 journalists from various media institutions , including broadcast, print, and online to deepen their understanding of the Authority’s mandate, functions, objectives, and the role of Special Economic Zones in driving national economic growth and investment.
Speaking during the opening session, LSEZA Executive Chairman, Prince Wreh, emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Authority and the media, noting that informed and responsible reporting is essential to promoting investment opportunities and national development.
Also speaking at the event, President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL), Julius Kanubah,
commended LSEZA for organizing what he described as a strategic and laudable initiative aimed at educating media professionals about the work and national importance of the Authority.
Mr. Kanubah encouraged journalists to take full advantage of the training and continue reporting in ways that promote economic development, investment awareness, and national progress.
“As journalists, we must also understand our responsibility in contributing to national
development through informed and development-focused reporting,” he stated.
Delivering welcome remarks earlier, LSEZA Communications Manager, Daniel Ankrah,
described the initiative as a pivotal moment for the institution’s communication and public
engagement efforts.
“As the first Communications Manager of LSEZA, this initiative is deeply pivotal to me because communication is not only about visibility it is about trust, public understanding, transparency, and building strategic relationships with the media as partners in national development,” he noted.
Day Two of the engagement will focus on bringing together talk show hosts and managing editors for deeper discussions on media collaboration, strategic communication, and national economic development reporting.
The Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority remains committed to fostering stronger
