Monrovia, Liberia — The Chief Executive Officer of Trade Insights, Mr. Robert Daniel Boakai, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all Liberians on the occasion of the nation’s 179th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to honor the country’s rich history by strengthening national unity, promoting integrity, and advancing sustainable economic development.

He emphasized that Liberia remains Africa’s oldest independent republic and one of the few African nations that maintained its sovereignty throughout the colonial era, making the country’s history a symbol of freedom, resilience, and self-determination.
“Today, as we commemorate 179 years of nationhood, we celebrate not only our political independence but also the courage, sacrifices, and enduring aspirations of those who laid the foundation of this great republic,” Mr. Boakai stated.
The Trade Insights CEO paid special tribute to Liberia’s customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers, exporters, clearing agents, trade actors, business partners, and institutions whose daily contributions continue to facilitate commerce and stimulate economic growth.
According to him, the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by stakeholders in the trade and logistics sector remain vital to strengthening Liberia’s economy and positioning the country as a competitive destination for investment and regional trade.
Mr. Boakai stressed that Independence Day should serve as a moment of national reflection, reminding Liberians that true patriotism extends beyond celebration to embracing accountability, transparency, innovation, and collective responsibility.
“As stakeholders in Liberia’s trade sector, we must continue working together to build a transparent, efficient, and competitive trading environment that benefits every Liberian while fostering investor confidence and sustainable national development,” he emphasized.
He reaffirmed Trade Insights’ commitment to supporting informed trade practices, strengthening partnerships among public and private sector institutions, and contributing to policy initiatives that promote economic transformation and inclusive growth.
Mr. Boakai further called on Liberians from all walks of life to set aside political, ethnic, and social differences and unite behind the common objective of building a peaceful, prosperous, and economically resilient nation.
“As we celebrate this historic milestone, let us renew our commitment to placing Liberia above personal interests, preserving peace, strengthening our democratic institutions, and creating greater opportunities for present and future generations,” he urged.
Concluding his message, the Trade Insights CEO prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the Republic of Liberia, expressing optimism that through unity, hard work, and national purpose, the country will continue progressing toward lasting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
