Monrovia, Liberia — The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia today held a productive follow-up meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America to review ongoing cooperation in support of Liberia’s ongoing drug investigations.
According to a release from the Ministry of Justice, during the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires reaffirmed the United States Government’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Justice in strengthening its capacity to investigate and dismantle organized drug trafficking networks.
Justice Minister N. Oswald Tweh welcomed the continued partnership, noting that the collaboration has progressed beyond discussions, with technical personnel from the United States currently working alongside Ministry of Justice investigators and prosecutors in support of ongoing investigative efforts.
The Ministry concluded by reiterating its commitment to conducting thorough, impartial, and evidence-based investigations and appreciates the continued support of the United States Government as Liberia advances its fight against transnational organized crime.
