Monrovia —Three technicians from the General Services Agency (GSA) have departed for the People’s Republic of China to participate in a month-long specialized technical training program focused on air conditioning repair and installation, as well as elevator repair and installation.
The training is sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Liberia as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting capacity building and technical skills development in Liberia.
The beneficiaries of the program are Lee S. Wilson, an Air Conditioning Technician at the General Services Agency; Nanny Banny, also an Air Conditioning Technician at GSA; and Jerome Kennedy, a Technician assigned to the EJS Ministerial Complex.
The training is expected to strengthen the participants’ technical knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to improve the maintenance, installation, and operation of critical government facilities upon their return. The initiative also underscores the growing partnership between Liberia and China in advancing professional development and enhancing institutional capacity.
Speaking on the departure of the technicians, the Director General of the General Services Agency, Hon. Galakpai W. Kortimai, expressed appreciation to the Government of the People’s Republic of China, through the Chinese Embassy in Liberia, for its continued support to the GSA and the Government of Liberia. He noted that the training will contribute significantly to improving technical service delivery and maintaining key government infrastructure across the country.
