MONROVIA — Former Montserrado County District #8 Representative and Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) stalwart, Acarous Moses Gray, has leveled explosive allegations against President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, accusing him of compromising Liberia’s territorial integrity.
In a stunning revelation made via his official Facebook handle, the firebrand opposition figure claimed to have firsthand intelligence regarding ongoing tensions along the Liberia-Guinea border following a recent visit to the neighboring country.
“I just returned from Guinea, and I can confirm that President Boakai agreed for Guinea to occupy our territory,” Gray stated. “Boakai has failed on his constitutional duty and oath of office.”
Gray’s statement has sparked serious concerns online, with several commenters questioning where he obtained his information concerning the border issue.
One commenter, Jimmy Gray, wrote: “This statement is very strong. The government needs to invite the former Representative to show where he got this information from and who told him.”
Regional Stability Concerns
In a recent ECOWAS Parliament session, Liberian lawmakers refused to present a report on the border dispute. Furthermore, during a recent radio appearance on OK FM, Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe claimed that the Government of Liberia had not provided any official report regarding the border issue with Guinea.

What Does Gray Statement Means?
With Gray claiming to possess firsthand information, Liberians remain in a state of panic over the border situation. The crisis has been ongoing for more than two months, following reports that Guinean soldiers and customs officials crossed the Makona River, set up checkpoints, and allegedly tampered with boundary cornerstones on Liberian soil.
The opposition CDC has been heavily critical of the administration’s handling of the frontier crisis, framing the ongoing presence of Guinean personnel as a direct violation of Liberia’s sovereignty. By declaring that President Boakai has failed in his “constitutional duty and oath of office,” Gray appears to be laying the groundwork for a broader political or legal challenge regarding national defense.
Gray’s latest remarks guarantee that the border standoff will remain a defining, high-stakes battleground between the Boakai administration and the opposition CDC.
