Monrovia, Liberia: — A distinguished son and a committed advocate for youth empowerment, Paul David, has officially launched a major three-week tutorial program for 12th-grade students across Montserrado County District 10.
The initiative, which is expected to benefit more than 300 students preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), is being celebrated as a bold and timely intervention aimed at strengthening education and improving academic performance within the district.
Speaking at the official launch of the program, Mr. David said the initiative was established to provide students with intensive academic support, guidance, and preparation ahead of their final examinations.
He emphasized that education remains one of the most powerful tools for national development and youth empowerment, adding that investing in students today is an investment in Liberia’s future.
“This initiative is about giving our young people a better opportunity to succeed academically and become productive citizens tomorrow. We want our students to feel supported, motivated, and prepared to face their examinations with confidence,” Mr. David stated.
According to him, the tutorial program will focus on major academic subjects and will be facilitated by qualified instructors dedicated to helping students improve their understanding and overall performance.
Mr. David further disclosed that the initiative is not intended to be a one-time project but rather a continuous educational support program that will expand across the district in the coming years.
Students benefiting from the initiative expressed appreciation to Mr. David for what they described as a meaningful and impactful contribution to education. Many noted that the program would help ease academic pressure while providing additional learning opportunities for candidates preparing for graduation and higher education.
Community members, parents, and local leaders also applauded the initiative, describing it as a strong demonstration of leadership, commitment, and concern for the future of young people in the district.
They at the same time called on other well-meaning Liberians, stakeholders, and community leaders to emulate such efforts by investing in educational programs that empower students and strengthen the country’s education sector.
