Monrovia, Liberia – Representative Alex S. Noah of Sinoe County Electoral District #3 has formally petitioned the Plenary of the House of Representatives to summon the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), the Managing Director of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), and the Country Director of the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation (WCF) to appear before lawmakers for a conference.
In his communication, Rep. Noah said the appearance of the three institutions is necessary to provide explanations and updates on matters of significant public concern affecting Sinoe County. He is requesting that the officials account for their activities, respond to questions from lawmakers, and clarify issues under their respective mandates.
The lawmaker emphasized that the conference would enable the House to exercise its constitutional oversight responsibility by ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper coordination among institutions operating in the county.
Should Plenary approve the request, the AFL Chief of Staff, FDA Managing Director, and WCF Country Director will be required to appear before the House to address lawmakers and provide detailed responses to the concerns raised in the communication.
