Sinoe County, Liberia – A Representative aspirant for Electoral District #3, Hon. Christian Kollu Tababo, has donated L$100,000 to support the ongoing District Leagues across the constituency, reaffirming his commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots sports development.
The contribution will be shared equally among the five statutory districts—Sanquin, Tarjuowon, Seekon, WACABA, and Juarzon—with each district receiving L$20,000 to assist with the organization and participation of their teams in the District Leagues.
The donation is expected to help address some of the financial challenges facing the participating districts, including transportation, equipment, and other logistical needs, while promoting the successful continuation of the competition.
In contributing, Tababo underscored the importance of sports as a tool for fostering peace, unity, discipline, and youth development. He encouraged players and organizers to uphold the values of fair play and use the District Leagues to strengthen relationships among communities.
The gesture has been welcomed by residents, youth leaders, and sports enthusiasts, who described it as a timely investment in grassroots sports and a demonstration of Tababo’s continued support for the people of District #3.
The District Leagues continue to serve as an important platform for identifying local talent, promoting community cohesion, and creating opportunities for young people to showcase their abilities while strengthening unity across the five statutory districts.
